You can read all public informational guides, documentation, and the commands reference without an account. However, to play the game, manage an inventory, build squads, and participate in matches, you must sign in using your Discord account. Discord serves as the shared identity across both the bot and web companion.

No. Signing in with Discord only links your Discord user ID to your MFC Footy player profile. To add the bot to a Discord server you manage, a server administrator must invite the bot using the official Discord bot authorization link found on our Discord Bot page.

No. All player cards, coins, gems, ranks, and squad configurations in MFC Footy exist exclusively within the MFC Footy database. Nothing transfers to or from any official EA account, game, or service.

A card version represents a specific player release from a distinct program or event (such as Base, Prime Icon, or Numero 8) with a specific base Overall Rating (OVR). Each instance you own in your inventory has an independent rank level and rank-up progression.

OVR is the primary rating metric of a card, representing the player's baseline attributes. Ranks increase effective OVR, and squad OVR is determined by the combined rating of your starting XI and bench.

Prominent Rating (PR) is an advanced valuation metric calculated by MFC Footy's custom engine. It evaluates individual attribute weightings relative to a player's primary on-pitch position and rank level. PR is strictly an MFC Footy metric and is never referred to as 'Performance Rating'.

MFC Footy strictly enforces real-world football integrity: a single player can only occupy one slot in an active match squad, even if you own multiple distinct card versions (for example, a Prime Icon version and a seasonal event version of the same player).

An Actual squad can only contain cards you currently own in your inventory, adheres to strict ownership validation, and is the lineup used when you enter Arena or Friendly matches. A Concept squad is an unconstrained planning tool in the Squad Builder that allows you to experiment with any card from the entire master database, test chemistry synergies, and share squad links with others.

Squad chemistry ranges from 0 to 33. Points are earned through shared clubs, leagues, and nationalities between adjacent players on the tactical pitch, as well as placing players in their natural or eligible alternate positions. Icons and Heroes provide universal or enhanced league and nation links.

Event Drafts (accessible via `/draft` on Discord or the Drafts page) allow you to spend draft vouchers to roll and claim new cards for your permanent inventory. Strategic Drafts are a competitive multiplayer match mode where participants take turns picking from timed draft rounds to assemble a 5-minute tactical squad evaluated on OVR, chemistry, and XI PR.

Yes. In Strategic Tournaments, you draft your squad once at the beginning of the tournament, and that drafted team is locked and reused across all subsequent group or knockout matches. In Quick Draft battles, squads are generated per-match.

Certain experimental arcade games, clan management interfaces, and administrative features are in private developer preview or undergoing maintenance. They will be progressively unlocked as stability, performance, and balancing criteria are met.
